Hello I'm Katy! I have been involved with performing arts most of my life. I was inspired to start Dace and Play and the Pine Valley Studio because I strongly believe all children should have the opportunity and resources to take classes and learn. It is my goal/ mission to pass on my knowledge, as well as introduce and expose children especially from smaller towns to the arts. I am from the Imperial Valley, a theatre major, and have been a professional performer for over 17 years. Thank you for your interest in Dance and Play! I hope to sing, dance, or act with you soon!
Hello, my name is Kitzia Danaliz and I have been a dancer and cheerleader for over 10 years. I have worked as a teacher for Dance and Play for a year and I am currently a professional cheerleader at the LNBP for the Soles de Mexicali team. I also graduated from the Savapa Academy of the Visual and Performing arts.
Hello! I am Coach Kaila Martinez! I have been dancing for about 9 years and have competed at a few dance competitions. When I was younger I was never good at sports and when I was signed up for dancing I instantly fell in love! It allowed me to express emotions and Tell stories in many different ways. I also have cheered for 3 years in high school, As well as competed for cheer! My favorite part of cheer was the tumbling!
Hello, I am Miss Sonia! I teach musical theatre, cheer, and dance for Pine Valley's Dance and Play after school program. My love for the arts started when I was just a little girl. From being in my church's choir and Christmas plays, to later being in theatre club, chorus, and musicals like Grease in high school. My favorite genre is horror and singing is a big hobby of mine! I hope to show as many kids as I can how to appreciate the arts and how fun it can truly be to break out of their shell like I did growing up!
Hi, my name is Alfonso Martinez. I have been acting for a total of 6 years. Three of those years I was acting in a theatre company and the other three years in acting and improv classes. I also enjoy Singing and dancing. I started acting at age 14 with the intention of feeling happy and expressing myself in a way that I feel comfortable with. I hope to one day have my own theatre company and change my students lives in a positive way!!!
Hello! My name is coach Briana. I was in competitive cheer for about 3 years. And pom-pom dancing which we competed as well. I travel to many places like Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, and more for competitions. Cheerleading was something I loved doing at a very young age. This will be my first year working at an elementary as a coach but I am excited to work with my little ones.

Hello, my name is Coach Amy I did two years of competitive cheer and I also did a season of pom-poms dancing which we also completed. Most people think that competitive cheer is not really a sport, but it’s one of the hardest sports I have ever done. Cheer takes up time and dedication and love towards the sport. When I was in my cheer team, we did compete in Porto Vallarta, Guadalajara, Ensenada, and more. Hopefully we can make a lot of memories together!! Cheer and dance is something really special and I hope you love it as much as I do.
